Brazilian graphite & green roof slates

Brazilian Slate tiles are in high demand, available in both graphite grey and Greyed green. These roof slates make a great alternative to the Delabole slate due to their similarities in appearance.

The Brazilian slate is quarried from the Minas Gerais region of Brazil.

We only recommend the thicker grade 7/9mm, due to their inherent brittleness, but when laid with care can produce a stunning uniform appearance at the fraction of the cost of similar coloured slates.

Brazilian slate tiles are very smooth in texture and formed using the exact metamorphic process to natural slate. However, instead of it being clay compressed over time, it’s mudstone.
